I go far, stay long, and photograph what stays.
I am a documentary photographer working the slow way: months in one place, one camera, no fixer telling me what to shoot. My pictures have run in National Geographic, Sidetracked, and Monocle, and hang in two permanent collections. I travel light because the good frame is almost never at the viewpoint with the railing. It is an hour past it, at the wrong time of day, when the last bus has gone.
