Terrain begins with the water table, the wind, and the way people already cross the ground. We plant for the succession decades ahead, not the opening photograph. Our drawings hold soil profiles, tree calipers, and flood returns beside the geometry, because a landscape is a living system that we are only ever tuning. The best of our work disappears into the place it belongs to.
