How a restoration runs

01

Strip and assess

The car comes apart to the last bolt. We photograph every panel, catalogue the rot, and write an honest report before a penny is spent.

02

Metal and body

We fabricate what cannot be saved, weld in fresh steel, and block the body straight before it ever sees colour.

03

Mechanical rebuild

Engine, gearbox, and brakes come off the bench blueprinted, torqued to spec, and run in on the dyno.

04

Paint and trim

Colour is mixed to the original code, laid in layers, and cut back by hand. The interior is trimmed in period materials.

05

Shakedown and handover

A thousand miles of testing shakes out the gremlins before we hand you the keys and the full photographic record.

Thirty-five years in the same barn.

Patina started as one man, one lift, and a Triumph that would not die. Three decades on we are still in the same converted dairy barn, still refusing to rush a car out the door. We are seven people now, most of us here for twenty years, and we take on eight cars a year. Not because we cannot do more, but because doing it right is the only way we know how to do it at all.
